Professor Landson Mhango is a Malawian who was world Engineer of the year in 1980.

By this time,every passenger jet has components he designed.

He designed the British military Harrier Jet Fighter.

Also the space shuttle and the American Army tanks have the patented part from Professor Mhango,before he became the Director of Engineering at British Aerospace for 20 years.

Apart from that he also invented a small gadget that detects tumors in the human body.
He also invented a nuclear-powered generator for the Japanese.

He designed the nuclear reactor in Britain which is powering Britain.

Professor Mhango died in 2011 in Coventry,UK while he was serving as Vice Chancellor of Mzuzu University in Northern Malawi close to his original home in Rumphi District of Malawi.
